So I was at the car wash giving the Peugeot some rinsing off and an old guy comes into my wash bay in love with the 505. "Geez I haven't seen one in years, you can't kill these damn things". Talked about Clarkson for a bit, he was a big fan at maybe 85 years old. Turns out he is a big Mercedes fan too, and he was telling me about his w124 wagon, how he had the 4matic serviced and he blew the head gasket AGAIN after about 40K miles on the current. Somehow it has become mine, for the low low cost of talking to this guy for 20 minutes - and I have to do the head gasket and maybe the head on it. Picking it up next week. Grey metallic with tan tex interior. He said there isnt a lick of rust on it and the interior is flawless. BOOM.
